We were very pleased with Koning Albert today, competing in his second Medium Freestyle to Music at Willow Banks EC in 4 days
With the soaring temperatures, we were naturally a little concerned about how the day would go. Fortunately, we managed to park in the shade, and a huge thank you must go to Willow Banks for their excellent organisation. Not only were the arenas beautifully prepared despite the heat, but they had also provided dedicated hosing areas beside the warm-up arena so horses could be cooled down immediately after their tests—a thoughtful touch that was very much appreciated. 💦
Berti and Ellie once again performed superbly in the challenging conditions, producing a lovely test to score 69% and take 1st place. The judge's comments were particularly pleasing, praising Berti's elastic paces, the interesting and varied floor plan, and how well the music complemented him. 🎼✨
The icing on the cake is that, just nine days into the Winter qualifying period, Albert and Ellie have already achieved their two qualifying scores for the Medium Freestyle to Music. We couldn't be more delighted with this partnership and are excited to see what the rest of the season has in store.
