ABOUT
Cassionora GF is a very correct colt bred by Sam Edis at Grange Farm Stud using her delightful Oldenburg mare Millfield Baloulou, who has produced many top jumpers already. LouLou is by the great sire Balou Du Rouet who has over 1100 offspring registered with the FEI and of these 230 are jumping at 1m50 or over. After winning one young horse class after another and gaining marks up to 10.0 in his 30-day test, Balou du Rouet successfully competed at 1.50m with more than 19 wins at this level. In 2005 he caught everyone's attention by scoring the highest mark of 9.2 at the National Championships, making him one of Germany's top 4 licensed stallions. His enormous jumping talent, combined with great elastic gaits and a fascinating charisma made Balou du Rouet an exciting choice for the breeders of sports horses. Balou du Rouet has more than 50 offspring competing at grand prix level. With his offspring selling at Auctions for hundreds of €1000's
Millfield Baloulou is out of a talented Holstein mare Cantate III who was by the great stallion, Lincoln.
Cassionora's sire, the Holstein stallion Cassionato, needs no introduction. He was part of the British team at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and 2015 European Championships, Cassionato has also had had top ten placings at the CSI5* shows in Doha, St. Tropez and Cascais. In addition, he helped Britain to win the CSIO5* Furusiyya FEI Nations Cups at La Baule, Rotterdam and Rome. Ridden by Nick Skelton, Michael Whitaker and latterly Jamie Gornall, he is a phenomenal horse, with very few offspring as he concentrated on his showjumping career until 2019.
Cassionora's grandsire is the popular stallion Cassini I, successfully ridden in International Grand Prix by Franke Sloothaak and he has sired more than 150 grand prix horses including Cheers Cassini, the 2006 WEG champion Cumano, Eurocommerce Berlin, who contributed to the Dutch team gold medals at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and 2007 European Championships, Caressini L, Carambole, Quite Cassini, Cassionato, and Ci Ci Senjor ASKCassionato's dam, Perle Holstein, is by the brilliant Selle Francais stallion Quidam de Revel who helped France win team bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Quidam de Revel was sixth individually at the European Championships at La Baule in 1991 and had countless Grand Prix and Nation's Cup success throughout his career.
With such strong bloodlines, it is no surprise that Cassionora GF is a very exciting prospect to us here. He will be available to a small number of mares in 2026, as we wish him to be produced carefully and slowly.
