Enjoyable trip to Scotland

So incredibly pleased with Koning Albert in Scotland this last weekend.

We travelled up to Scotland with Dani and Kate Johnston and stayed off site at a nice yard about 10 minutes away. The on-site stabling being right next to Edinburgh Airport runway and very exposed to the constant wind and rain sadly.

It was held at the venue of the Royal Highland Show, with a lovely surface and nicely built up to height courses.

Berti completed a nice Double Clear in the 1m25 taking 5th place, which was a great start, then in the Newcomer Second Rounds, he jumped one of only 12 DC's in 58 entries, and then sadly had an error in the jump off, putting him into 7th place over the final 1m40 round.

It's so easy to dwell on mistakes, but he was jumping insanely, making nothing of the height, despite him not settling at the stables and refusing to eat.

Despite the rubbish weather, we would definitely return.
