FEI Youth European Championships, Gorla Minore, Italy

Sienna Lanni and Billy were selected to represent GB again on the Children on Horses Team in the European Championships in Gorla Minore, Italy in July 🇮🇹

An absolutely fabulous time was had by all children, parents, owners and trainers, both at the competition and Socially. The weather was terribly hot and humid and the stabling ventilation made hard work for horses and grooms, but everyone battled on regardless.

It was a great experience for the children being up against over 120 of the best in Europe and competition was hot, with many children on 5* horses that were doing 1m35 for a warm up round 🚀

Sienna, Billy and the rest of the team were focussed and determined throughout. Having Darcy Breen, Emily Gulliver, Sula von Bülow and Ruby Payne and Sienna on a Team was so lovely as they gelled well together and all rode brilliantly.

Our Billy jumped in 7 rounds of 1m30/1m35 over the week (including jump off's) and bless him, he only lowered 2 poles throughout. The heat was exhausting, so this was harder than you think 🥵♨️

Proud doesn't come close to how I felt, and when the Team took the bronze medal in a tense jump off, with Darcy and Kunis on fire in 4th place individually and Sienna in 10th out of well over 100 children, the Brits couldn't contain themselves 🔝🇬🇧

An incredible experience. I can't thank Clare Whitaker enough for everything, along with Matt and Milla Lanni and everyone else for the great time
