Great results at the Northern Dressage Regionals

As Koning Albert had qualified for the Novice Gold and the Novice Gold Freestyle to Music at the Regionals, we made 2 trips to Bishop Burton this week.

On Thursday in the Novice Gold, Berti looked amazing and Ellie reported that he felt the best ever. They performed a superb test and two of the judges had him in the top 2, but sadly one judge wasn't feeling the love that day, so he dropped to 4th in a large class. Everyones' scores seemed low that day, so we were pleased with 67.22% which is very impressive amongst these Gold level riders on their fancy dressage bred steeds 😍 Ellie also took the best U25 rider in the class.

Returning on Friday for the Novice Gold Freestyle to Music, you never know what the judges think of the music or how Berti will feel doing another day of "circles", but we needn't have worried. He didnt look or feel quite as good as he did the day before, but the judges liked what they saw. He came in a very close 3rd, narrowly missing out on his National Qualification with 69.63% in a strong class.

We are so proud of Berti as he is so keen to learn and please and is getting stronger by the day, and to us, he is a winner everytime out 🏆
