Koning Albert parades at Burghley Horse Trials

Koning Albert really enjoyed his day at the Defender Burghley Horse Trials as one of only 10 stallions chosen to take part in the Stallion Parade.

It was also lovely that all of Team Koning Sport Horses were present, with Dani Johnston piloting for the day, Ellie Roberts and Jill Williams assisting and Dave Williams in charge of filming and dog sitting. It was wonderful also to meet up with another KSH/Team Lanni rider, Sienna Lanni who was visiting for the day 🙌

Albert did a lovely flatwork display infront of a packed crowd, then moved on to the showjumping area, making the jumps look so easy. Finally, Dani took off the handbrake and showed everyone Alberts lovely open and free gallop, (which is quite hard in a slanted and small grass arena), but they managed and Albert thought he had made it to Burghley's hall of Eventing Fame 😆

It was so nice that lots of people came along to discuss using Koning Albert in 2024, and we also got to meet some people who have one of his foals, and another who is expecting a filly by him next year.

All in all, another great day out.

Thank you to Jane Marston and British Breeding for organising, and Burghley for allowing us to parade there, showcasing in amongst 9 other lovely stallions.
