National U25 Elementary Champion
To attend the U25's National Championships and come away with the Elementary Champion title is such a wonderful achievement for us all.
A very busy week for Ellie Roberts, saw her competing 6 days in a row, on 3 different horses, making podium visits every day. Phenomenal result!
Monday and Tuesday competing her own horse, Lyon at Sheepgate being placed and winning some top classes. Competing her other campaigner, Zan at Hill House on Wednesday, then competing Koning Albert at Sheepgate in the Under 25's at both Novice and Elementary Thursday to Saturday.
Thursday Berti and Ellie contested two Elementary classes. With 67.83% and 70.16%, she won both Gold Sections tqking 3rd in one and won the other class.
On Friday, the scores felt a little harsh, as Berti both felt and looked good, but that's dressage for you. He got 2 scores in the Novice and Elementary class of just over 66%. Ellie topped the Gold sections but took 6th in both classes.
Saturday was the National U25 Championship finals in Novice and Elementary. With 30 entries, it was going to be a tough class as all the top combinations were entered from all over the country. Berti put up a great performance coming in 5th place in the Novice.
They saved the best for last! Berti went into the Elementary finals, rather tired after doing circles for 3 days, but he didn't disappoint. All 3 judges loved what they saw and awarded him 69.51% and they won the class and the title.
Berti now has all his qualifications for the Winter Regionals and can enjoy some more jumping now, whilst continuing schooling, hacking and chilling.
Thank you so much Ellie for everything you do with Berti and for taking him up the grades.
