Newcomer Second Rounds, July 2023

Whilst Jill was away in Gorla Minore, Italy wIth Bermudez (Billy) who was jumping for Team GB at the European Championships, Dave kindly stepped in and bravely took Koning Albert to the Newcomer Second rounds at Arena UK in rather soggy weather ☔

Koning Albert (Berti) jumped really well with Dani Johnston riding and went through to the second round. Sadly he lowered a pole so that was the end for him 🙄 but he managed some prize money as not many got through 🤑

At Vale View EC, we had another go. Berti was jumping so well that he felt he knew how many strides there were to the next upright and that Dani hadn't got a clue 🙈 After a short discussion, Berti, who refused to admit he was wrong, took the top pole with him 🤷‍♀️ He jumped even higher after that, but sadly it was too late 🤩🚀

Congratulations to Harry Wainwright, and Dani Johnston riding Tina IV who had the only treble clears for 1st and 2nd places 🔝🏆
